Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative in California to gather demographic and financial information, verify eligibility, and assign medical records for accurate billing. The role supports pre-certifications, signatures, and deposits with a focus on patient service.

The position is part-time with a varied night shift, including weekends and holidays. A high school diploma and 0–2 years in a medical or high-volume service setting are required; BLS or ability to obtain is needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years in medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry and insurance systems.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain required signatures on consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data and document registrations; update files with pre-certifications/authorizations.
• Notify patients of insurance issues, co-pays, deductibles, or deposits per system.
• Review orders for completion and ensure all required information is listed.
• Support compliance with Medicare/ABN where applicable.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide courteous service.
