Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative for a part-time role in California. You will collect demographic and financial information, verify eligibility, and assign the correct medical record and account numbers to ensure accurate billing and clinical data.

Responsibilities include obtaining consents, processing pre-certifications, and communicating insurance issues while maintaining patient service and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years in a medical setting or heavy customer service with data entry.
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to obtain AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data in computer systems and document admissions thoroughly.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance issues and co-pays.
• Review physician orders for completeness.
• Complete Medicare Compliance and ABN when necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
• Answer calls and follow scripted assistance.
• Complete shift duties timely and accurately.
• Follow safety regulations.
