Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking an Admitting Representative in Whittier, CA to verify demographic and insurance information, assign medical records, and ensure accurate billing data. The role involves pre-certification, explaining co-pays, and maintaining compliant records across multiple systems.

Full-time schedule with varying shifts including weekends; prior medical setting or strong data-entry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days post hire.
• AVADE training within 30 days from start date.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and verify demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtains signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Performs pre-certification, credit referral or deposit collection; enters data and documents incomplete admissions/registrations.
• Notifies patients/family/physicians of insurance issues and required payments; updates patient files.
• Reviews physician orders for completeness and lists all required information.
• Completes Medicare compliance and ABN when necessary.
• Maintains multiple computer systems and ensures data accuracy.
• Provides excellent customer service and escalates unresolved issues.
• Answers calls per script and assists callers; completes shifts duties timely.
