Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of ED admitting experience desirable.
• Excellent typing skills (35 CWPM) and strong MS Office knowledge.
• Ability to communicate clearly and maintain professionalism in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete demographic and financial information from patients and sources.
• Obtain signatures on legal consents and insurance forms.
• Enter data, complete registrations, and obtain pre-certification or authorization numbers.
• Notify patients and staff of insurance coverage issues and co-pays.
• Review physician orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Complete Medicare Compliance and ABN when necessary.
• Maintain multiple computer systems and provide excellent customer service.
