Job summary

Puget Sound Home Health & Hospice is seeking an experienced Hospice Operations Coordinator to support scheduling, front-office functions, and medical records compliance. The role collaborates with clinical leadership, intake, and administrative teams to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient workflows.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent healthcare operations experience considered.
• 2-3 years in healthcare operations, medical office administration, scheduling, or related roles.
• Home health or hospice experience strongly preferred.
• Experience using HCHB and other agency systems.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work with clinical and non-clinical teams.
• Basic reporting and spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily clinician schedules and staffing assignments.
• Serve as the primary contact for scheduling communications; collaborate with Intake to confirm staffing for admissions and referrals.
• Process scheduling adjustments, reassigned caseloads, missed visits, and visit updates.
• Maintain clinical records in compliance with state, federal, and hospice regulations; ensure audit readiness.
• Assist with onboarding and coordination of medical records support personnel as needed.
