Job summary

Varco Hospice seeks a Scheduling Coordinator to support home health and hospice operations in Houston. The role focuses on coordinating visits, maintaining records, and ensuring timely communication among staff, patients, and families.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience in healthcare administration, and proficiency with EMR systems and MS Office. This is an in-person, full-time position with a compassionate, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Experience in an administrative or office coordination role, preferably in healthcare, home health, or hospice.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Office Operations: Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including maintaining patient records and ensuring regulations compliance.
• Scheduling & Coordination: Assist with scheduling home health visits and coordinating with clinical teams.
• Communication Hub: Serve as the first point of contact for staff, patients, and families with professional communication.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and ensure documentation meets state and federal requirements.
• Operational Support: Collaborate with clinical staff and leadership to improve office workflows and efficiency.
• Inventory & Supply Management: Monitor and order medical and office supplies.
