Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Operations (Hospice Administrator) to lead patient care quality and staffing within the hospice program. This senior role models Compassus values and ensures full regulatory compliance and budget alignment.

The position requires RN licensure, leadership experience in healthcare, and collaboration with directors of clinical services to maintain high-quality patient services and outcomes across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment (highly preferred across coverage).
• 2–3 years of leadership and nursing experience in hospice or healthcare.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains day-to-day patient/family care services and monitors care quality.
• Oversees onsite visits weekly and documents validation reports monthly.
• Manages the Big 5: pharmacy, medical supplies, DME, mileage, and labor.
• Ensures Pre-Bill compliance and unbilled outcomes.
• Monitors staffing to meet patient/family service needs and coordinates with Regional VP for budget planning.
• Ensures compliance with Conditions of Participation and Standards of Care.
• Oversees staff orientation/education and reporting variances to leadership.
• Ensures appropriate levels of care based on patient acuity and collaborates with Regional VP.
