Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Hospice Area Executive of Clinical Operations to lead patient care services, ensuring high-quality care and regulatory compliance. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, and cross-functional coordination with directors of clinical services, pharmacists, and vendors.

The role requires strong nursing leadership, clinical excellence, and the ability to travel across the United States while guiding program operations and performance standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in hospice or healthcare settings.
• Nursing background with RN licensure strongly preferred.
• Experience ensuring regulatory compliance and quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintains full responsibility for day-to-day patient/family care services and related cost optimization.
• Oversees weekly onsite location visits and monthly validation reports.
• Manages the “Big 5” program areas: pharmacy, medical supplies, DME, mileage, and labor.
• Owns Pre-Bill compliance and unbilled outcomes.
• Ensures adequate care staffing levels and communicates needs to Regional VP for budgeting.
