Qualifications

• Graduate of a National League of Nursing accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure in state.
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience within last 3 years or a BSN with RN; preferred 2 years in public health, home care or hospice.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patient and family to determine hospice needs.
• Provide professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and revise plan of care with patient/family involvement.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Counsel patient and family; provide health care instructions and promote self-sufficiency.
