Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a compassionate CNA to provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living for hospice patients in their homes in Largo, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, and the Bay Pines area.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Experience 1–3 months preferred. Requires Florida CNA license and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• Valid Florida State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• The provision of hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assisting patients with taking medications that are ordinarily self-administered and have been pre-poured as designated in the Plan of Care.
• Hospice Aide must report changes in the patient's medical, nursing, rehabilitative, and social needs to a registered nurse.
• Following a patient’s death, collaborates with the primary RN/Counselor and participates in closure contact with family/caregivers.
