Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, part of Empath Health, seeks a caring RN for Evening/Weekend care in Palm Harbor, FL. You will deliver hospice support to terminally ill patients, assess needs, coordinate plans, and educate families under physician orders.

Schedule is 40 hours weekly: two weekdays 4:30 PM–12:30 AM and Sat–Sun 10:00 AM–10:00 PM. Florida RN license, CPR, and reliable transportation required; prior acute/post-acute experience preferred for end‑of‑life care.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license required.
• CPR certification (ARC or AHA) required.
• Prior acute or post-acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under physician orders, identify and coordinate patient/family needs.
• Provide preventative and supportive hospice care to terminally ill patients.
• Assess, intervene, and educate to maximize comfort and quality of life.
• Administer, monitor, and document medications as prescribed.
• Assist with closure after a patient’s death in collaboration with the IDT.

The RN provides compassionate hospice care to patients with terminal illnesses and supports their families by assessing needs, coordinating care, managing symptoms, and providing education.
