Job summary

Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough, a part of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Tampa. Shifts are days 7:45am-8:15pm, three shifts per week, with every other weekend.

You will work under a licensed nurse, document changes, and support families with compassionate end-of-life care. Requires Florida CNA license, CPR certification, and 1–3 years’ experience, preferably in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA license) required.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License; own transportation if reassigned.
• One to Three Years of training and/or experience; long-term care experience preferred.
• CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Recognize and report changes in patient condition to the nurse.
• Maintain confidentiality in care of the patient/family.
• Follow Hospice Aide Plan of Care and scope of practice at all times.
• Support patient comfort and dignity in end-of-life care.

**Suncoast Hospice of Hillsborough**, a member of **Empath Health**, is seeking a caring and motivated CNA to provide patient care at our Care Center in Tampa on the following schedule: dayshift 7:45am-8:15pm (3 shifts a week), every other weekend. The CNA delivers quality, patient-centered care under the direction of a licensed nurse, while monitoring and reporting changes in patient condition. This is not a requirement if the colleague chooses an alternative means of transportation when reassigned to another facility based on business needs. Regardless of the mode chosen, both are at the colleague’s own expense, with the exception of mileage reimbursement eligibility when traveling between facilities while on company time.* One to Three Years of training and/or experience required. One year of experience in a long term care facility strongly preferred.* Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
