Job summary

Suncoast Hospice, a member of Empath Health, seeks a caring CNA to provide personal care and activities of daily living for hospice patients in their homes around Largo, Indian Rocks Beach, Madeira Beach, and Bay Pines. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm.

Responsibilities include hands-on care, assistance with self-administered medications, reporting changes to the RN, and supporting families through end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida Board of Nursing certification (CNA License).
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• Must provide proof of valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist patients with medications that are ordinarily self-administered and pre-poured as designated in the Plan of Care.
• Report changes in patient medical, nursing, rehabilitative, and social needs to a registered nurse; document changes and communications.
• Assist with closure activities with family/caregivers after a patient's death as needed.
