Job summary

Affinity Hospice Holdings, LLC is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our home-based care team. You will work under the supervision of a registered nurse, observe patients, assist with personal care, and document care provided.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Travel to patients' homes in Alabama, flexible schedule, weekend rotation, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet the training and certification requirements of the State.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with insured vehicle.
• Able to show empathy for the needs of the ill.
• Prolonged standing and walking; lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks after given a patient’s assignment and attend to requests promptly.
• Meet safety needs of patients and use equipment safely (foot stools, side rails, O2, etc.).
• Perform personal care tasks including baths, back rubs, oral hygiene, shampoos, and changing bed linens.
• Assist in dressing and undressing patients as assigned.
• Assist in feeding the patient as assigned.
• Assess and report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the case manager.
• Adhere to documentation and care procedures and standards of conduct.
• The hospice aide will not administer medications or perform procedures requiring a licensed nurse.
• Perform other CNA duties as assigned by management.
