Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a compassionate CNA Hospice Aide to provide hands-on care for patients in end-of-life settings within home-based hospice services. You will support daily living activities, promote comfort and dignity, and collaborate with the hospice care team to implement the plan of care.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meal preparation, homemaking, and accurate documentation. A valid CNA and CPR certification, plus a driver’s license, are required.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a nurse assistant (CNA) per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, range of motion, positioning, and household tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status; follows nurse instructions.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests as required.
• Other duties as assigned by the care team.
