Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients at home and support for families during end-of-life care. You will work with the hospice team to ensure respectful, individualized care aligned with each patient’s plan of care.

Responsibilities include personal care, safety-focused techniques, meal assistance, homemaking, and documenting changes in patient status. Must have CNA certification and CPR, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Preferred: CNA experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during personal and supportive care.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status and notifies nurse as needed.
• Follow written instructions for personal care from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
