Job summary

UnitedHealth Group, through its Amedisys affiliation, is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate at-home end-of-life care. You will support patients and families, follow the plan of care, and collaborate with the hospice team to ensure comfort and dignity.

You will perform personal cares, basic nursing tasks, meal support, and observation of patient status, with a strong emphasis on safety and empathy.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a nurse assistant (CNA)
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to perform personal and supportive care tasks
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding
• Performs homemaking and environmental services
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status
• Follows written instructions from a registered nurse
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises
• Performs simple urine tests as instructed
• Other duties as assigned
