Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support for families during end-of-life care in a home health/hospice setting. You will assist with daily living activities, promote comfort, dignity and emotional well-being, and work closely with the hospice care team to follow each patient’s care plan.

Qualifications

• Current state certification or registration as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state requirements.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to performance of personal care tasks such as ambulation, transferring, ROM and positioning, and homemaking.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, and performs related tasks.
• Observes, reports and documents changes in patient status and follows nurse instructions.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and records basic tests when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
