Job summary

Compassus is seeking a Chaplain to provide spiritual support to patients and families in a hospice setting. You will explain hospice services, assist with documentation, and work within the IDT to develop and implement care plans, honoring diverse beliefs and promoting compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Social Sciences, or related field.
• Completion of at least one unit of CPE preferred, unless required per state regulation.
• Minimum of one year of experience in providing spiritual/pastoral support to individuals or families.

Responsibilities

• Explains hospice services and Medicare benefits to patients and families; obtains informed consent.
• Submits documentation to facilities in a timely manner according to policy.
• Provides spiritual care support to patients and families; collaborates with IDT to coordinate care.

Education
