Job summary

Compassus seeks a Chaplain/Volunteer Coordinator to provide spiritual support to patients and families within the hospice program, serving as a liaison to the clerical community and collaborating with the IDT on the plan of care.

The role also coordinates volunteer services, recruits and trains volunteers, and ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies while upholding Compassus values of compassion and integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Divinity, Social Sciences, or related field preferred.
• CPE unit preferred, if state regulation allows.

Responsibilities

• Chaplain responsibilities: provide spiritual support, explain hospice services, participate in IDT care planning, maintain care plans, counsel patients/families, and recruit clerical volunteers.
• Volunteer Coordinator responsibilities: recruit/train volunteers, support IDT planning, coordinate volunteer services, monitor utilization, prepare reports, and promote Compassus in the community.
