Job summary

Optimal Hospice is seeking a dedicated Nursing Leader to oversee clinical operations in our Denver service area. You will supervise the hospice team, coordinate patient admissions and interdisciplinary care, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and all policies.

You’ll contribute to staff training, on-boarding, and performance management while aligning care with our mission to deliver high-quality patient care and improve outcomes for our diverse patient population.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate or higher degree in nursing.
• Must be currently licensed in Colorado.
• Experience: at least 1 year of nursing experience; 90 days of employment/contract with Optimal Hospice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Competency navigating electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee hospice programs and staff in Colorado.
• Coordinate patient admissions, assessments, and treatments.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, policies, and procedures.
• Support scheduling and case management to optimize patient care.
• Coach and supervise staff; conduct performance appraisals.
• Prepare management reports for administration.
