Job summary

Amedisys is hiring a hospice aide for full-time day shifts. Join one of the largest home health and hospice providers in the U.S. to assist patients at home with personal care, mobility, meals, and daily living activities.

You will work under a registered nurse, follow care plans, document changes in patient status, and contribute to a compassionate, patient-centered team. Benefits include medical plans, PTO and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification.
• CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and daily living activities.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental tasks as assigned.
• observes changes in patient status and reports to nurse.
• Follows written plans of care with registered nurse guidance.
• Assists with prescribed exercises and basic urine tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
