Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide for full-time daytime shifts in Indianapolis to provide hands-on care for patients in their homes. You will assist with daily activities, meals, and mobility while following the care plan established by the registered nurse.

Responsibilities include documenting patient status, maintaining safety, and supporting family members in care tasks. Must have CNA certification, CPR, a valid driver’s license, and CNA experience within the last two years.

Qualifications

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics.
• Must have CPR certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to the performance of personal care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient's status to the nurse.
