Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a compassionate CNA Hospice Aide to join our team. In this full-time role (1st shift), you will provide direct personal care to hospice patients in their homes, following the plan of care created with and by a registered nurse.

You will assist with daily activities, meals, and safe mobility, while observing health changes and documenting care. Benefits include competitive pay and opportunities for growth within a nationwide home health organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification as a nurse assistant.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics during care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises and basic tests.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
