Job summary

MDS Staffing, a respected hospice provider in the Kansas City Metro, MO area, is seeking a full-time Hospice Admissions RN to coordinate new patient admissions and perform comprehensive assessments.

The role partners with the interdisciplinary team to educate patients and families, perform head-to-toe exams, ensure accurate documentation, and support a smooth transition into hospice services within a 50-mile radius and Tue-Sat 10am-7pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Missouri RN license in good standing.
• Current driver's license and CPR certification.
• Two years RN experience in clinical care.
• One year of full-time hospice experience.
• Reliable transportation with auto liability insurance.
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions.
• Strong written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of new patient admissions.
• Collaborate with patient care teams to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Educate patients and families regarding condition and care needs.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hospice Admissions RN

Kansas City Metro, MO (east) | Full-Time

Territory / Work Schedule: 50-mile radius from the office, schedule Tuesday-Saturday 10am-7pm

Outstanding hospice provider seeks a full-time Admissions RN. This nurse will coordinate new patient admissions, complete comprehensive assessments, educate patients and families, and partner closely with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure a smooth transition into hospice services.

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Missouri
• Current driver's license
• Current CPR certification
• Two years of Registered Nurse experience in a clinical care setting
• One year of full-time hospice experience
• Reliable transportation and valid automobile liability insurance
• Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Key Responsibilities
