Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting in Birmingham, Michigan seeks a Michigan-licensed Collaborating Physician to support a new hormone and wellness clinic. The role focuses on men's hormone therapy, women's health, menopause, weight management, and IV therapy.

The physician will collaborate with a Michigan-licensed NP to establish oversight and prescribing arrangements in accordance with Michigan laws. This is a part-time/contractual engagement with monthly compensation between $1,000 and $1,500.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Michigan physician license.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology or related field.
• Current professional liability coverage appropriate to the duties.
• Experience in outpatient medicine, hormone therapy, or wellness medicine preferred.
• Familiarity with testosterone prescribing, lab monitoring, and weight management an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills; willing to collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner.
• Knowledge of Michigan physician–nurse practitioner collaboration and corporate practice of medicine requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician oversight and clinical collaboration per Michigan law and standards.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner on patient care and treatment planning.
• Be available for professional consultation on complex cases and questions.
• Provide guidance on hormone therapy and wellness protocols.
• Review laboratory results and assist in treatment planning and monitoring.
• Ensure prescribing processes and patient care comply with regulations.
