Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting seeks a Michigan-licensed Collaborating Physician to oversee a new hormone and wellness clinic in Birmingham, MI. The role centers on men's hormone therapy, women's health, menopause care, weight management, and IV therapy, in close collaboration with a Michigan-licensed NP.

The ideal candidate provides clinical guidance, reviews labs, and helps shape treatment plans while ensuring compliant, patient-centered care as the clinic opens and begins seeing patients.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Michigan physician license.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or related field.
• Current professional liability coverage appropriate to the responsibilities.
• Experience in outpatient medicine, hormone therapy, women’s health or wellness medicine preferred.
• Familiarity with testosterone prescribing, labs, and medical weight management is an advantage.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to collaborate with a Nurse Practitioner.
• Knowledge of Michigan physician–NP collaboration and corporate practice of medicine rules.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and collaboration per Michigan law and standards.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner on patient care and treatment planning.
• Be available for consultation on complex cases and patient concerns.
• Offer guidance on hormone therapy, male and female care protocols.
• Review laboratory findings and assist in treatment plan decisions.
• Ensure compliance, documentation, and patient safety.
