Job summary

Kona Medical Consulting in Birmingham, MI is seeking a Collaborating Physician for a new hormone and wellness clinic. The role involves clinical oversight, collaboration with a Michigan-licensed NP, and guiding treatment plans in hormone therapy, menopause care, and weight management.

The position is part-time/contractual with compensation starting at $1,000–$1,500 per month, to be finalized in the agreement, and will commence prior to opening, with patients seen once the clinic launches.

Qualifications

• Must hold active, unrestricted Michigan physician license.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, or related field.
• Current professional liability coverage appropriate to the responsibilities.
• Outpatient medicine, hormone therapy, women's health, menopause or wellness medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physician oversight and clinical collaboration in line with Michigan law.
• Collaborate with the Nurse Practitioner on patient care, clinical decisions and treatment planning.
• Be available for professional consultation on complex cases and questions.
• Assist with establishing clinical protocols and pre-opening procedures.
• Support prescribing within the agreed scope and ensure documentation and compliance.
