Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to clear the way for construction projects. You will level earth for runways and roadbeds, and assist in combat engineer missions.

Through nine weeks of Basic Training and nine weeks of Advanced Individual Training, you will earn while you learn, with paid training and access to tuition assistance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must enlist in the Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a high school junior or hold a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be between 17 and 35 years old.

Responsibilities

• Level earth for runways and roadbeds.
• Clear, excavate, and dig areas on construction sites.
• Transport heavy equipment with a tractor-trailer.
• Move heavy building materials with cranes.
• Assist in combat engineer missions.
