Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Horizontal Construction Engineer to clear obstacles and prep sites for roads, runways, and buildings. You’ll operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to ready the site for construction.

Your role includes leveling soil, clearing and digging areas, spreading fill, and transporting materials with tractors and cranes, while supporting combat engineer missions.

Qualifications

• Enlisted in Army National Guard.
• Must be at least a high school graduate or GED.
• Ages 17-35; able to pass physical exam.

Responsibilities

• Level earth for runways and roadbeds.
• Clear, excavate, and dig construction sites.
• Spread fill material and transport heavy equipment.
• Move heavy building materials with cranes.
• Assist in combat engineer missions.
