Job summary

The DC Army National Guard is seeking a Horizontal Construction Engineer to operate bulldozers, roadgraders and other heavy equipment to clear sites and support military construction missions.

You will level earth for runways and roadbeds, clear areas, and assist in combat engineer tasks. Training is paid, with nine weeks of Basic Training and nine weeks of Advanced Individual Training.

Qualifications

  • Analyze the information on grade stakes and placing them.
  • Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
  • Must enlist in the Army National Guard and meet basic eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Level earth for runways and roadbeds; clear excavation sites.
  • Operate heavy construction equipment and transport materials.
