Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks a Horizontal Construction Engineer to clear obstacles and support road, airfield, or building projects. You’ll operate bulldozers, roadgraders, and other heavy equipment to help your crew succeed on-site.

Your training includes nine weeks of Basic Training and nine weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with paid instruction and the potential for tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Experience with operating heavy construction equipment and earthmoving tasks.
• Ability to read grade stakes and place them accurately.
• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Analyze the information on grade stakes and placing them.
• Cut and spread fill material with scraper.
