Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii is seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team in Honolulu. This on-site role supports benefits administration, onboarding, compliance, and employee relations with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

The ideal candidate has HRIS experience (UKG/Kronos/UltiPro preferred), strong communication, and the ability to partner with leadership on priorities. Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA requirements and E-Verify is a plus.

Qualifications

• HRIS experience required; UKG, Kronos, or UltiPro preferred
• Benefits administration, leave administration, onboarding, and compliance experience preferred
• Employee relations exposure preferred
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong sense of urgency; detail-oriented and accurate
• Coachable, professional, and positive with strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple HR functions with urgency and ownership mentality
• Administer employee benefits and leave programs including FMLA, Hawaii Family Leave, Workers’ Compensation
• Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation with I-9 and E-Verify compliance
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and accuracy (UKG preferred)
• Conduct HR compliance audits and maintain documentation
• Support employee relations and build cross-level relationships
• Manage DOT/FMCSA compliance and driver qualification files
• Administer DBIDS and military installation access for employees
• Partner with leadership, including the CEO, on HR priorities
• Work independently to meet deadlines
