Job summary

Staffing Solutions of Hawaii in Honolulu, HI is seeking an HR Generalist to join a growing, dynamic team. This is an on-site role requiring timely reporting and ownership of HR functions, including benefits administration and onboarding.

Key duties include maintaining HRIS data (UKG preferred), ensuring I-9 & E-Verify compliance, and supporting employee relations while working with leadership on HR priorities. The position is full-time with temp-to-hire potential.

Qualifications

• HRIS experience required; UKG, Kronos or UltiPro preferred.
• Benefits administration, leave administration, onboarding and compliance experience preferred.
• Employee relations exposure preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong sense of urgency; detail-oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple HR functions with a strong sense of urgency and an ownership mentality.
• Administer employee benefits and leave programs, including FMLA, Hawaii Family Leave, and Workers' Compensation.
• Coordinate onboarding and new hire orientation, ensuring I-9 and E-Verify compliance.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and accuracy (UKG preferred).
• Conduct HR compliance audits and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support employee relations matters and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Manage DOT/FMCSA compliance and driver qualification files.
• Administer DBIDS and military installation access for employees.
• Partner with leadership, including the CEO, on HR priorities and initiatives.
• Work independently to meet deadlines without constant direction.

Experience: 2+ years of HR experience; HR Coordinator, HR Administrator, or early-career HR Generalist backgrounds preferred

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Tuesdays 7:00 AM-4:30 PM
