Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services (HHSC) seeks a Direct Support Professional V, Home Supervisor to oversee daily operations, supervise DSP staff, and ensure high-quality care at the Denton State Supported Living Center. You will model leadership, train staff, manage schedules, and monitor compliance with care plans and safety protocols.

The role requires strong communication, staff development, and crisis-management abilities, with duties including incident reporting and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Must be able to lead and supervise a team of DSPs with confidence.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff and clients.
• Ability to implement care plans, monitor progress, and document results.
• Knowledge of safety and infection control practices is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the assigned home and ensure quality programs.
• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate DSP staff; manage scheduling and coverage.
• Monitor compliance with training, timekeeping, and program procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to staff in crisis management and behavior support.
