Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking a Direct Support Professional IV, Lead/Charge DSP at the Corpus Christi State Supported Living Center. This senior DSP coordinates habilitation, behavior management, and daily care for individuals with developmental disabilities while guiding staff and ensuring safety and documentation.

Applicants should have at least 1 year as a DSP; leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of DSP experience required.
• Preferred leadership or supervisory experience.
• Requires ability to document and report progress.
• CPR, First Aid, Ukeru and/or Safe Use of Restraint certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate habilitation, rehabilitation, and behavioral plans for individuals.
• Supervise staff, ensure safety, and maintain daily documentation.
• Provide training and mentorship to DSP staff.
• Lead duties in the Home Supervisor's absence and participate in an interdisciplinary team.
