Job summary

West Elm in Chicago is seeking a Design Studio Specialist to inspire customers and close sales through one-on-one consultations and in-home design guidance. You will present design plans, accurately measure spaces, stay current on promotions, and provide world-class service for gifts, registry, orders and deliveries.

With 1–2 years of customer service and retail experience, you’ll demonstrate strong communication and clienteling skills while managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of customer service and retail sales experience.
• Strong communication and clienteling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience in design elements is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in one‑on‑one consultations to drive store sales.
• Conduct in‑home consultations including measuring living spaces.
• Create and present design plans based on client needs and space.
• Maintain knowledge of sales and promotions to achieve goals.
• Provide world‑class service for gifts, registry, orders, and deliveries.
• Demonstrate product knowledge of the design studio assortment.
