Job summary

Alabama Professional Services is expanding its service department and seeks personable, mechanically minded Sales & Service Technicians to service existing customer equipment across Alabama. You’ll troubleshoot and propose solutions while building lasting customer relationships, with room for growth.

Role combines hands-on technical work with advisory selling, offering hourly pay plus commission, company vehicle, and full-time year-round employment.

Qualifications

• Technical background in HVAC or plumbing is a plus but not required.
• Ability to explain technical concepts in plain language.
• Positive, resilient attitude with motivation to keep going.
• Comfort working independently with minimal supervision.
• Team-oriented mindset when collaborating with technicians, sales and support.
• Basic computer skills; training on our software provided.
• Bilingual skills are a bonus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot customer equipment such as dehumidifiers, sump pumps, and related systems.
• Assess each property's needs and recommend the right products and services.
• Act as the go-to problem solver, finding the most efficient and effective solution for every customer.
• Partner with installation crews to ensure proposed plans are carried out smoothly.
• Stay current on products, techniques, and regulations so customers can count on your advice.
• Build lasting customer relationships through clear communication and great service.
