Role Description The Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Birmingham, AL. In this role, the technician will diagnose and repair HVAC systems, perform routine maintenance on residential and commercial equipment, and complete system installations and upgrades as needed. Daily responsibilities include responding to service calls, assessing equipment performance, identifying technical issues, and implementing effective solutions in the field. The technician will document work performed, maintain tools and company vehicles, and communicate clearly with customers about findings, recommendations, and proper system operation. The role also involves collaborating with team members to ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Maintenance & Repair and Maintenance skills for HVAC systems and related equipment.
• Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues.
• Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including working on-site at customer locations and managing service calls independently.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
• Relevant HVAC certifications or licenses in Alabama (or ability to obtain), and familiarity with local codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Previous experience in HVAC service or a related trade; vocational or technical training in HVAC is preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in varying weather conditions, and adhere to all safety procedures.
