Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is seeking a hands-on HVAC technician in Irondale, AL. Under supervision, you’ll diagnose and service residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, answer customer questions, and ensure satisfaction.

You’ll promote products and services while working with a field team to maintain high service standards. Key responsibilities include diagnosing equipment, performing maintenance, handling parts delivery, and documenting work on a handheld device.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional HVAC training and 2+ years’ experience.
• Must possess licensing/certification as required by local regulations for the work area.
• EPA and safety certifications required.
• Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshooting electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and light commercial service and maintenance calls under supervision.
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, professional manner.
• Diagnose and service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment.
• Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics to prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Complete routine maintenance and manage parts/equipment delivery.
