Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role involves setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, educating patients on proper usage, and ensuring equipment operates safely. Travel to patients’ homes will be required, with mileage reimbursement provided.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and provide education on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
