Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing homecare team. You will set up home medical equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, monitors, and other devices, and educate patients on proper usage in their homes.

You will inspect equipment, review prescriptions, maintain patient records, and stay current with respiratory therapy practices. Travel to patient homes and after-hours on-call shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain complete, organized patient records per accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory therapy concepts and homecare techniques.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency varies by center size).
