Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team. This role handles setup of home medical equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other devices, and trains patients on proper usage.

You will educate patients, maintain records, and stay current with homecare practices. On-call hours may apply; travel across assigned territory is required with mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified appropriately in the state.
• Must have reliable vehicle to visit patients.
• Knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and rehab.

Responsibilities

• Set up and educate on CPAP/BiPAP and ventilators.
• Inspect and test home medical equipment.
• Review prescriptions and plan treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records per accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends.
