Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing home-care team. You will set up home medical equipment, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and other devices, and educate patients on proper usage.

Responsibilities include inspecting and adjusting equipment, reviewing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and staying current with pulmonary rehab techniques. On-call shifts after hours and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs are qualified for this position in all states.
• RN, LPN, LVN, paramedics, EMTs may also be qualified depending on state law.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
