Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. This role involves setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, and educating patients on proper usage. You will also train patients and ensure compliant record-keeping across patient visits.

Candidates should have RT/LPN/RN licensure as applicable, a valid driver's license, and strong communication skills. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel within the assigned territory.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed (RT/LPN/RN) as applicable by state/national board.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions/patient info to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Keep up to date with respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency determined by center size.
