Job summary

Lincare Holdings Inc. is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. You will set up home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP units, ventilators, monitors, and nebulizers, and educate patients on proper usage of prescribed equipment.

The role involves traveling to patients, maintaining accurate records, and keeping current with respiratory therapy concepts. Comprehensive benefits and ample training opportunities are provided to support personal and professional growth.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• State and/or national board licensing required.
• Reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence.
• Knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Computer literacy and ability to document findings.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment for safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Stay current with respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency depends on center size).
