Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role involves setting up home medical equipment (ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators), educating patients on proper usage, and ensuring safe operation of devices across assigned territory.

Qualified clinicians must hold applicable state/national licenses by law and be able to travel to visit patients. A comprehensive benefits package and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state or national board.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and rehabilitation.
• Reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescription and patient data to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed; frequency varies by center size.
