Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team, responsible for setting up home medical equipment including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units, and educating patients on proper usage.

The role also involves inspecting equipment, coordinating with physicians, and maintaining patient records in line with accreditation standards. On-call after hours may be required, with training and development opportunities provided in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembling and setting up home medical equipment including ventilators and CPAP/BiPAP units.
• Ability to educate patients on proper equipment use and safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and comply with accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP machines, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
• Review prescription and patient information to determine appropriate treatment administration per physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency depends on center size)
