Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role includes setting up home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and oxygen devices and educating patients on proper use. You will also inspect equipment for safe operation and maintain patient records.

Candidates must be licensed or certified, have reliable transportation, and stay current with respiratory homecare practices. Mileage reimbursement is provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• CRTs or RRTs qualify for this role per state rules.
• Must be licensed/certified by the applicable board or law.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients within territory; mileage is reimbursed.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators).
• Inspect and adjust devices to ensure safe, effective operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain complete, organized patient records per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
