Job summary

Lincare is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team in the United States. You will set up home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, and oxygen devices, and educate patients on proper usage per physician orders.

The role emphasizes safety, patient records, ongoing knowledge of respiratory care, and a willingness to be on-call after hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position
• RN/LPN/LVN/paramedics/EMTs may also be qualified for this position depending on state laws
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable board
• Must have reliable personal vehicle; mileage reimbursement provided
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in state of residence
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators)
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation
• Review prescription and patient information to determine appropriate treatment per physician orders
• Maintain patient records in a complete, organized manner per accreditation standards
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed
